Directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, Fruitvale Station follows the last 24 hours of Oscar Grant’s life. Through everyday moments, the film highlights the systemic inequalities and racial profiling that continue to shape society, often with devastating consequences.
Following the screening, we will hold an open converstaion about the film. How does this film reflect today’s reality? And what can we do to create change? This conversation provides a space for reflection, dialogue, and shared experiences. During this talk, we also speak to Daniella from Diversity Talks and Emma and Isthea, both board members of BASA (Black Afro Students' Association).
